 Written Doorbuster- Numbers Review (copy 1-4 below):  1.Common errors, Cardinal Numbers (=regular numbers)  #1-#5 palm in; the rest palm out;  if using a number from 1-5 and a number above 5, all numbers remain palm out (eg. Address: 5742 – don’t twist!)  2.Common errors, Ordinal Numbers (=ranking: 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd …)  #1 st -#9 th tend to be in neutral space (front of body), palm in  Can be used in listing, where you tap the fingers of the non-dominant hand  3. Remember #6-#9 begins at pinky (smaller finger to larger finger)  4. Remember numbers #24 and #26-#29 use the “#21 gun” handshape  Finished with the Doorbuster? Sign-  Finished with the Doorbuster? Sign- to someone, or copy the signs to the right to practice ( and so I know you are ready to move on…)

 Each team needs a Snakes and Ladders board, an instruction sheet, a comp. book with Unit lists, and one dice cube  Each person needs a penny, paper clip, or something to mark your spot- see me if you need something!  Begin! Have fun shhhh- ask me signs (fingerspell, write down, etc.)

 Written Doorbuster  Group game: Snakes and Ladders – numbers review; group ready, vocabulary review  Reflection WSQ (short video)  Grade Recovery if time  Ticket Out- Flashcards

 ASL 1 Video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FN6_BB VMNI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FN6_BB VMNI  ASL 2 Video-  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DkrkzfF 8Tk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DkrkzfF 8Tk

 Today--- Class structure, ASL 3 notebook is ready  Level 3 usually has two more “projects”- but these are fun and more laid-back- no gloss required, etc.  Every year, however, I ask if you have a different idea---what would be fun and meaningful to you?

 1. PSA (Public Service Announcement) -- this is usually groups creating funny commercials with a message/awareness of Deaf culture (like you see on YouTube) - but two years ago, they did a class-wide Cochlear Implant project to create awareness of the controversy- some did a brochure, others a link library, another created posters to display outside of the class, and a handout for hearing parents (since so many handouts are biased against signing)  2. Career Path--- this usually includes finding a real job announcement online and finding out the salary, then listing the steps to get there (graduating here, going to which college, which major, how supported (scholarship, working?), then internship or what is required?, then applying for the job..  So, every year, I ask if you have a different idea or addition/change to one of these---what would be fun and meaningful to you?

 Doorbuster: Please complete this survey on a sheet of paper- and then give to me (you can just write your answers). I want to know which type of project you prefer  Have a sheet of paper ready- or I have blue squares you can use at my desk

 Okay- ALL of you want to do at least one PSA  Some of you want to do two different PSAs  Some of you said one PSA and the other: song, career path,…  So--- I will make these individual- tell me what you are wanting to do, and I will have rubrics for each concept
