58 Pages 136-137 Nouns in Sentences A noun names a person, place, animal, or thing. A noun can be in more than one place in a sentence. Their hive is hidden in a tree. Both hive and tree are nouns. Hive is in the naming part. Tree is in the action part. Facts

59 Writing and Grammar  Look at the facts about bees. Write the nouns in the sentences. Bees live in a hive. Bees get nectar from flowers. Bees make honey for food.

61 Teach/Model: Picture Dictionary  Turn to the Pictionary on pages 170 – 171 in your reading book.  Read the titles. Look at the pictures and read the labels.  I want to use these picture dictionary pages to find out where bees live. The words give me information, and so do the pictures. The words – house, pueblo, nest, log – name kinds of homes. The pictures show me exactly what some of the homes look like. By looking at the pictures, I can learn a lot of facts. For example, bees live in a hive.
