Abstract: The following story was designed for a kindergarten class (5-6 yrs.) of deaf students. It is a story about a little ant who is lost and cannot find her home. So she meets various animals and asks them if she can live in their house. The animals tell her that she cannot live in their house, because it is not a house where ants live. Finally the ant meets other ants and they let her stay in their house. The students relied a lot on visual aids and pictures for comprehension. This story, since it was in the form of a power-point presentation appealed to the students. The visual component of the story also made it very easy to comprehend the story. As a follow up to the story, various picture matching and work matching games were played. The students acted out the whole story. They also made a book of animals habitats, using the pictures provided at the end of the story and wrote sentences about each animal.
