4 WHY? To determine short term trends of labor demand To determine job vacancies and required qualifications To plan ALMP’s according to needs To disseminate reports on labor demand and supply HOW? Surveys carried out by İŞKUR’s job and vocational counselors. 100.852 firms/employers with 10+ employees visited (2013). All 10+ employers in 74 provinces and large samples in 7 provinces. Surveys carried out biannually. 4 Labor Market Demand Analysis

5 Results (2013/1) 1/3 of employers have job vacancies. 2/3 of employers need qualified employees. 60% percent of employers who submitted that have difficulties in employment of certain occupations stated lack of qualifications and skills as the reason of the difficulty. Employers experience difficulties in finding qualified employees. Lack of qualified workforce revealed for each occupation. 5 Labor Market Demand Analysis
