11 Use one slide -use custom animation http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi d=20081007175320AA8pUiO

12 The best way to do this is to add a Custom Animation. This is a great feature of PowerPoint that you'll be very happy you learned ;-) PowerPoint XP/2003: Select your text box, right click and select Custom Animation. This will launch the Custom Animation palette. PowerPoint 2007: Click on the Animations tab at the top of PowerPoint. On the left side is a funky icon with the words Custom Animation. Click on that. This will launch the Custom Animation palette. Select your text box. From here it's the same for both versions... At the top of the animation palette, go to the pulldown Add Effect --> Entrance and select the type of animation you want. At the bottom, it has More Effects so you can see them all at once. The text information will now show up in the palette. There should be a little arrow on the left of the information (there's also one on the right - that's something else). Click on it and you should see each of your lines of type listed there. You can select them and set them individually to come in automatically or on a click. That's the very basics of getting this to work. Play around in the palette, check out animation options (look in the arrow on the right) and speeds, etc. It's too much to go into here, but this should be enough to get you started.
