3. Enrollment – 508 (+13 compared to the same time last year)

4. Pay Practices – Determined by Board Policy Salary Schedule – Based on experience and degree for standard # of days. Additional Days – Salary Schedule + daily rate x additional days. Index (Multiplier) – Salary Schedule + daily rate x additional days x index. Stipend – Set compensation for additional duty.

5. Student Safety Administrators will receive “Active Shooter” training February 20 through the U. S. Department of Justice. Decatur Police Chief Luker will attend with the administrators.

6. Public Education Rally On February 20 th, Mr. Garner will take a group of students to Little Rock for a public education rally. The group will meet with the Governor, attend legislative committee hearings, and see the house and senate in action.

7. Public Education Rally 9:00 AM Breakfast and registration at the Arkansas Education Association (1500 W. 4th Street, Little Rock, AR) 10:00 AM Meet the Governor and attend legislative committee hearings at the Arkansas State Capitol Building (500 Woodlane Street, Little Rock, AR) 11:00 AM Lunch with your Legislators at the Arkansas Education Association (1500 W. 4th Street, Little Rock, AR) 1:00 PM Rally for Public Education on steps of the Capitol 1:30 PM See the Arkansas House and Senate in action. We’ll make sure that you get a chance to speak to your legislators before you leave!

8. Board Visioning Conference Members of the board will attend the Leader to Leader (L2L) Board Visioning Conference March 1-3 in Little Rock. Nationally recognized educational thinker Ian Jukes will be the featured speaker, along with Dr. Bob Thompson from Lamar University and Dr. Francis Murphy, St. John Fisher College.
