6. Climate Paragraph Our island is named X-island. X-island is an island east of Japan and it’s located in the western Pacific Ocean at 40N, 155E. One feature that controls X-island’s climate is the ocean currents. Because X-island is located where the warm current Kuroshio Current and the cold Oyashio Current come together. So the temperature of X-island is almost always warm weather. X-island has much precipitation. Our island’s coldest temperature is 14C in June and February. The warmest temperature is 23C in August, September, and October. X-island’s tallest mountain is Ghost mountain. It’s about 4000 to 4500m. This name came from a ghost living on top of the mountain. Ghost mountain is about 4500m and it’s very cold at the top of Ghost mountain. On our island June and October is the rain season.
