24 Stretching Warm-Up 1. Stretching warm ups inhibit performance if held over 60 seconds 2. Stretches should only be held for 15-30 seconds 3. Use a variety of stretching exercises to address all of your major muscle groups and joints 4. Stretch only afte performing a general warm-up

25 The Cool-Down 1. Cool-down should last 5-10 minutes after vigorous activity 2. Helps prevent dizziness and fainting 3. Do not lie down or sit down immediately after vigorous activity 4. Gradually reduce the intesity of activity during the cool down.
