Introduction  Graduate with Academic Honors  Activities: President of Spanish Club, National Honors Society, Volunteer Firefighter, EMS First Responder  Honors/ Awards: Courier & Press and Henderson Gleaner Gold Star Student, Member of the National Society of High School Scholars  After high school I would like to enter the nursing program at the University of Southern Indiana to obtain a doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner or earn a Ph.D. as an Orthopedic Surgeon.  I would also like to graduate with a major in Orthopedics.  Graduate with Academic Honors  Activities: President of Spanish Club, National Honors Society, Volunteer Firefighter, EMS First Responder  Honors/ Awards: Courier & Press and Henderson Gleaner Gold Star Student, Member of the National Society of High School Scholars  After high school I would like to enter the nursing program at the University of Southern Indiana to obtain a doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner or earn a Ph.D. as an Orthopedic Surgeon.  I would also like to graduate with a major in Orthopedics.

3. German Township Volunteer Fire Dept.  Mission Statement: Save lives and protect property.  50+ volunteers  German is mostly known for its complete volunteer base, as well as its welcoming heart for the community and its residents.  Consists on paramedics, EMTs, and first responders that serve 24/7.

4. 5. Fire Safety Day Introduction to the Day:  Purpose: create a day that would allow the children and parents to better prepare themselves in case of fire.  Children received souvenir bags.  Created a game for the chance to win prizes.  Few activities include gear try on, demonstrations of trucks, and live fire.

6. Challenges and Successes.  Challenges: Time, organization, and the materials needed for activities. -I also found it challenging to plan events that the children would enjoy and would not instantly want to do something else.  Success: - spoke with parents on the department -speak with my mentor -spoke with several other members/ safety officer

7. Fire Safety Day The main purpose of the Fire Safety Day was to teach the children the importance of fire and what they can do to help themselves and their families. The children were able to interact with the firefighters and learn what they can do during an emergency.

8. 9. Conclusion  Several parents came up to me and said thank you for putting together a day that their children could learn and have fun at the same time.  The Fire Safety Day turned out to be a success with 100+ children.  After the event, I was asked by the chief if this is something I would like to continue to do.  I have agreed to continue to plan this event for years to come.  The next Fire Safety Day will be held during the summer.  Several parents came up to me and said thank you for putting together a day that their children could learn and have fun at the same time.  The Fire Safety Day turned out to be a success with 100+ children.  After the event, I was asked by the chief if this is something I would like to continue to do.  I have agreed to continue to plan this event for years to come.  The next Fire Safety Day will be held during the summer.
