3 INFORMATION NEEDED

4 AP EXAMINATIONS AP Exams for college credit and college placement ▪ May 4th – 14th ▪ Must have a note to excuse you from classes either before or after your AP Exam.

5 SENIOR FINAL EXAMS ▪ Senior Final Exams – May 18 – 22 ▪ May 18 – EVEN Review ▪ May 19 EVEN Exams ▪ May 20 – ODD Review ▪ May 21 ODD Exams ▪ May 22 – Make-up Day ▪ REMEMBER the senior final is 25% of your 4 th quarter grade. ▪ Grades follow trends. MP3MP4Final ABB BAA

7 Student Service Learning (mcpsssl.org) ▪ Targeted due date - May 1 ▪ 75 hours must be completed for graduation as required by the Maryland State Department of Education. ▪ All activities must be pre-approved. Check the list on the website. ▪ The website contains the pre-approved list, all forms, and all information needed concerning SSL. ▪ See Dr. Ryan in her office (across from gym) for help or questions. ▪ All second semester hours must be turned in by May 1st.

8 OBLIGATIONS AND SENIOR FEES ▪ Seniors must be clear of all obligations, transcript fees, media center obligations and senior fee to attend prom and graduation. ▪ Senior Fees – $60 – Must be paid in CASH after Friday, May 1st. – Senior fees will become an obligation if not paid by May 22 nd and must be paid to Ms. Mantua in the financial office before school, after school, or at lunch. – Due by May 22 nd or when you go to purchase your prom ticket – Many of you will get obligations after your senior finals so you need to check with the financial office before June 5 th.

9 PROM – May 15 th 7:30-11:30pm Martins Crosswinds in Greenbelt, MD Tickets go on sale April 13 th in room 217 (Math Office) Cost of tickets is $80 per ticket. Dinner will be provided at Prom. If you are bringing a date who does not attend Wheaton you will need to get a permission slip from Mrs. Schreckengost in April. Dates must be under 21 Cost of your ticket includes entrance to Post Prom Remember you must be clear of all obligations to purchase a ticket.

10 POST PROM ▪ Location: Wheaton High School  Activities at Post Prom Basketball, Volleyball, Laser Tag (Tentative), Pool Tables, Ping Pong Tables, Air Hockey, Karaoke, DJ, and plenty of food.  Bring change of comfortable clothes

11 YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS ADVENTURE AFTER THE PROM!!!!! Friday – May 15, 2015 @ Wheaton High School 11:30pm – 5:00am $10.00 Post Prom Only Or Included with the purchase of a Prom ticket Under the Sea !!!

12 There will be changing rooms for you to get out of your formal Prom-wear and into something comfortable, as you prepare for your After Prom Adventures Under the Sea!!! To include: * Door prizes and raffles * Catered Food @ 12:30am & 3:30am * Fun Photo Booth Keepsakes * Cash Money Machine * Texas Hold’em & Black Jack Card Games * 6 person - Air Hockey Challenge * Tattoo & Face Paint Artists Artists * Movies on the BIG Screen * Moon Bounce Games * Laser Tag * And much much more!!!!

13 WARNING ▪ Be on your best behavior at Prom and Post Prom

14 GRADUATION ▪ Graduation – June 8 th at 2:30pm at DAR Constitution Hall ▪ Every senior gets 8 tickets, you can request up to 6 more on a first come, first serve basis. Any request we have received so far has been filled. – Mandatory Rehearsal on June 5 th from 8am-2pm at Wheaton High School, cafeteria – Graduation Fee Now $60 - Do not pay if you already paid first semester – Must be clear of Obligations, materials from the media center, and transcript fees to attend prom and graduation.

15 ▪ Here are the steps to take: – Submit a draft speech that is 3 pages or less (typed, 12 font, single spaced) by May 1 st at lunch to Ms. Schreckengost. – If selected, present your speech to a panel of teachers and administrators on May 5 th afterschool in the auditorium. – Final decisions will be made by May 8 th and you’ll be informed the week of May 11 th. ▪ Things to consider in your speech: – Humor, monumental moments/events during your time at WHS – Recognition of those that supported you – Future hope and aspirations DO YOU WANT TO BE THE STUDENT SPEAKER AT GRADUATION?

16 ▪ Complete the nomination card that you received when entering the auditorium ▪ Select 3 teachers and write their names on the paper ▪ Ballots will be tallied, teachers will be invited to appear on the final ballot that will be distributed through English classes.
