Main image: The main image is placed inside a pink heart, the pink heart denotes the idea of romance, establishing the genre of this film, also the all-star cast would appeal to the audience and encourage them to watch the film
Background: the background is plain and black, so all the other texts and images contrast with it and stand out, so the main focus is on them.
Masthead: This masthead is in white, contrasting with black, it is in block capitals so is more attention-grabbing.

Background: The background is in black and red; colours commonly used in horror films. This denotes the idea of danger and blood.
Masthead: The masthead is in red, denoting the idea of danger or blood, which is suited to a horror film, it is written in block red capitals, which stands out against the black background.
Credits: The credits aren’t placed in the usual place on posters and are larger than usual, Leonardo DiCaprios name is larger than the rest of the credits.

Different colours used for different genres eg. Red for horror and pink for romance The expression on each persons face are different for each genre eg. Stern and serious for horror and happy for romance.
