2 The fibula presents with a comminuted fracture. The tibia is displaced from the tibiotalar joint.

8 A classic presentation of gout (the build up of uric acid crystals in the synovial space). The 1 st MP joint in the left shows characteristic features: a large soft tissue mass, erosions in bone and sparing of articular cartilage.

9 A renal calculus is located at the level of the ischial spine (the uretovesicular junction). The right collecting system is dilated proximally as a result of the obstruction.

10 Aneurysm of the right renal artery. This patient was hypertensive.
