4. Keyword search is SFL’s basic search. It is based on the classification system of Helsinki City Library with over 22 000 index terms. Every keyword has a library class. All the keywords in the index belong to one of the ten main groups and under the main group to one or more sub groups. 5. Net services in the search results are likewise classified in one or more sub groups and the keyword you have used ”can call” them as part of search results. 6. Subject search is useful when you are interested in some subject but you can’t think of good keywords to approach it with. The Subject search is based on the same system as the keyword search. Now you don’t write keywords, instead you first select a main group and from that a sub group. The name of the sub group is a link which opens all the keywords classified in this category. Every keyword is an active link and starts the search. Search results are arranged in the same way like in the Keyword search. 7. Person search – you can use the Person search to find: - what the person has written, composed, produced etc. - what has been written about him or her. Music orchestras and bands are including to Person search. You can also influence the search results by selecting one or more specification alternative. 8. Name search lets you search by name, i.e. companies, associations, organizations, happenings etc. In the Name search the search words are proper nouns except persons, music orchestras and bands. Title search means mainly searching from the library databases, i.e. ”Sinuhe, the Egyptian” or ”Strangers in the night”. In addition to this you can influence on the search results by selecting one or more specification alternative. 9. Metasearch makes it possible to simultaneously search from different databases. In SFL these are primarily library databases. Frank is a metasearch which the SFL-project has developed together with Libraries.fi. Frank is an open source product. Nelli is a metasearch for books and scientific articles organized by Finnish National Library. Regional public libraries co-operate with Nelli and organize metasearching locally in their library portals. 10. Public sector includes governmental information which is produced and maintained either centralized or regionally by the municipalities, provinces, offices and also by the libraries. SFL doesn’t produce any information and that’s why the Public sector is only a link list to governmental information and web services. 11. Electronic transaction – through the Electronic transaction you can work in the net and partly or totally complete your tasks using available net services, i.e. filling a form and sending it. Electric transaction service can be produced by net shop, bank, governmental office etc. The secure use demands that you have an electronic identity card. All the transmitted information has to be protected, of course.
