2. Our Heritage Rev. George Washington Cressey Pastor North Congregational Church 1852-1867 Buxton, Maine Each of us has a family history. Some of our ancestors were heroic soldiers, some were businessmen, some were scoundrels of the worst kind, and others were true saints of God. One of my ancestors, Rev. George Washington Cressey, had his last words recorded for us: Ordained at Kennebunk Congregational Church in 1840, where he was a pastor for 12 years. He became the first settled pastor of the North Congregational Church in Buxton, Maine in 1852 and served for 15 years until his death, February 12, 1867, at 56. Buried in Rowley, Massachusetts. He served on the Buxton School Committee. Rev. Cressey's last words were, “I see the angels. I am happy—happy--happy!” As the writer of Hebrews stated in Hebrews 9:27: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: On the other hand, when my Grandfather, who was an atheist, died he had the look of abject horror on his face. Whereas Rev. Cressey was happy with his judgment, my grandfather saw only the horrors of hell and damnation. May each of us have the same happiness that my ancestor had when seeing the angels of God coming to take us home.

3. The World’s Future We get As we get getting closer to the end times our nation is on the path to anointing the Antichrist as supreme ruler. Just look at how Barack Obama is praised and adored by the majority. Many are praising him like a god or messiah. Can the rapture of the church and the rise of the Antichrist be far off? We are seeing the start of a one world bank where all transactions will be done with either a credit or debit card along with a progression to a single world currency. With people losing their cards, the next step will be the mark of the beast! All those who worship the beast and receive the mark of the beast have a future of abject horror, pain, and suffering.

4. The Born-Again Christian’s Future The born again Christian is going to have a tough time in the near future when he or she refuses to receive the mark of the beast, or to acknowledge that the beast is the messiah. There are some preachers who are saying that Barack Obahma is the Antichrist. I am not one of those, but I see that the proposals and the “Stimulus Package” are all pointing to the rise of the Antichrist. The Christian community needs to refuse the temptation of the stimulus package and the wickedness contained therein. We need to say NO to a world bank! We need to say NO to a government run economy. We need to reject a totalitarian state on the National Socialist Worker's Party as known as the Democrat Party. All of the born-again Christians who cling to the Lord Jesus Christ through these troublesome times will rise to meet their Savior in the air. When your money is gone, your savings are gone, along with the demise of your source of income, it will be extremely difficult to reject temptation offered by the government.

5. 1 Thessalonians 4:1-18 1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. 2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: 6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. 7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. 8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. 9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. 10 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; 11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

6. True Happiness True happiness only comes when you are united with the real Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All others Are who are telling you that they will bring you happiness and salvation are just offering you a false promise of hope. Only Jesus Christ can deliver you true happiness and hope. Only Jesus Christ can give you what you really want and desire. Come to Christ today and repent of all of your sins. Jesus is seeking you today. Come and heed his divine call today while you still have the time to repent. The day and the hour of the rapture is drawing near. We need to seek the Lord while there is still time. Peter told us to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
