The Full Gospel Church Vol. XIII Number 01 January 4, 2009 New Beginnings in Christ

With Jesus All Things Are New 2 Corinthians 5 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Born-again Christians do not need a holiday to celebrate the passing of time. Everyday is a new beginning for the born- again Christian. When I became born again, the black coal soot buildings of Tompkins Barracks in Schwetzingen, Germany looked beautiful. My perception of my environment changed, not my environment. Jesus will give you a new outlook on life. Jesus will give you hope where there is no hope. All things are become new!

Jesus Christ gives us a brand new view of life. He also gives us a new outlook on our situation.

When Jesus was crucified, all seemed dark and black to the disciples. They had no hope and they spent all of their time hiding out from the law. Until the disciples became born again on the day of Pentecost, they were hiding from everyone. They did not realize that Jesus came to die for their sins and the sins of the world. They needed to be filled with the Holy Ghost just like you and me. When your situation seems out of sorts and there is no hope in sight, now is the time to call on Jesus for an infilling of the Holy Ghost. When you are filled with the Holy Ghost, all hope is restored! All energy is restored. You have a new life in Christ when you are filled with his divine spirit. You too can become as Peter and John when you receive the Holy Ghost. You can preach and bring others to saving grace.

Acts 2:38-40 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. When Peter was filled with the Spirit he no longer was hiding in the upper room. He and the other disciples went to the street preaching the glories of salvation through Jesus Christ the Lord. The Apostles were no longer afraid to go out and preach the Word of God. They became zealots for Christ after they received the Holy Ghost and spoke in other tongues. When you receive the Holy Ghost you also will become a zealot for Christ. No longer will you be afraid to share your salvation with others. No longer will you be ashamed of the gospel of peace. The Lord might use you to convert your family, neighbors, or friends.

Jesus gave his life on the cross so that you could receive his Holy Spirit. Without his death, there would be no life or Spirit for you. Jesus is our savior and our redeemer through his death. When you receive the Holy Ghost, you are actually receiving the Spirit of Christ. Jesus Christ becomes part of you and you receive his strength. The women at the tomb thought that the body of Christ was stolen from the tomb. Now is the time to repent of your sins and ask to receive the Holy Ghost. You need Christ's Holy Spirit to gain eternal life. Receive Jesus Christ today and live.
