4. WHAT ARE CYBERCRIMES? Illegal access: the access to the whole or any part of a computer system without right. Also known as Illegal Interception and Data Interference.

5. RECENT ATTACKS IN THE UNITED STATES Home Depot: Problem: The Home Depot organizations faced a massive cyber breach. The hackers stole over 56 million customer credit and debit cards Cause: Investigation says that caused by a custom made malware that has never been seen before. Home Depot stores had the malware was in their system from April until September.

6. RECENT ATTACKS IN THE UNITED STATES Home Depot: Actions: Home Depot is installing a security software which messes up the card data, so that it is hard for the hackers to read. The activities that the company officials planned did not work. Culprit Caught?: The FBI was involved and they investigated the case, but yet they have no idea who committed the crime.

7. RECENT ATTACKS IN THE UNITED STATES Target: Problem: The Target company faced a massive cyber breach which affected the target organizations and their customers. Cause: Investigation hypothesizes that it was a malware that was identical to the Home Depot hack.

Target is also working with the secret service to find out who got into the their network and stole all the personal information of their customers.
