7 Checking Your Penultimate Draft Have you put the title, your name, the date and other information on the title page? Are all the pages there? Are they numbered consecutively? Are the sections numbered consecutively? Have you checked for spelling and grammatical errors? Have you allowed adequate margins and double spaced the text? Are all the materials referred to in the text listed in the references and vice versa? Have you checked the details of your references? Have you checked to make sure your style is correct? 8 Conducting Briefings Identify presenter and assistant Be familiar with the equipment Check all equipment to make sure it works Make sure you have internet capability, if needed Use a ratio of 1:2 for presentation/questions Practice

10 Conducting Briefings Have enough handouts Speak up If you don’t know an answer, admit it Have the assistant handle technical problems The size of the audience will determine when to take questions
