Regional Workforce Boards Accountability Act of 2012 called for a new statewide unified brand. Launched the new CareerSource Florida Network Brand on February 10, First state in the nation to unify all of its workforce boards (state and local) and career centers through a single brand. New brand recognized as the top workforce initiative of 2014 with a prestigious national award from the National Association of State Workforce Agencies. Success already evident in early research that shows that within six months of the brand launch there was an 8-percent increase in awareness and knowledge of our network by Florida employers. Moving in the right direction. This session, we’re asking legislators to further assist our rebranding efforts with a naming bill that replaces our state board’s current statutory name, Workforce Florida Inc., with CareerSource Florida.
