1) OXALIC ACID , 2) CARBOLIC ACID 3) ACETIC ACID, 4) SALICYCLIC ACID VEGETABLE ACID 1) HYDROCYANIC ACID ALKALIES CAUSTIC POTASH & SODA

6 ACETIC ACID It is a corrosive in nature when it is in concentrated form having sour taste and pungent smell & act like irritant when it is in dilute form. Is the main component of vinegar. In undiluted form it is also called Glacial acetic acid.

7 Eyes:redness,loss of vision.
Signs & symptoms Inhalation: burning sensation ,dizziness,headache,shortness of breath,irritable cough, sore thorat,suffocation.. skin:redness,skin burning,blisters,pain mucous membrane softened & become yellowish white. Eyes:redness,loss of vision. Ingestion:abdominal pain,diarrhea,vomiting

8 Fatal dose FATAL PERIOD: From 60 to 100 ml. up to 48 hrs.
MEDICOLEGAL ASPECT: # Accidental # suicidal # it is an antidote for caustic alkalis.

9 treatment Stomach wash eye wash milk or lime water
egg white or milk of magnesia orally 10 mg morphine(intra musc) for pain donot induce vomit

10 Postmartum apearance massive geographic liver necrosis degeneration & swelling of renal tubular epithelium.
