1 Chinese Trade and Transportation By: Aidan Mirchandani And Gabriel Scopaz

2 Goods Merchants were delighted to trade along the Silk Road so that they could be rich one day. Merchant’s hopes for money were very high because other traders could purchase for: bamboo, china, tea, salt, sugar and silk. Oh joy! Oh joy! OH JOY!!!!!!!!!

3 Merchants Without them other purchasers would come home empty handed and unhappy. Why? Because merchants are the ones who deliver the goods. Understand?

4 Camels Camels are the transportation for merchants everywhere traveling of the Silk Road. Merchant would be restless without them. Camels have a lot of strength because they have a hump on their back that keep all the food and water in for a very long period of time. So heads up camels!!!!!!!!!!

5 Canals Canals are making trade and transport much easier in China. The Grand Canal is 1,100 miles long. It connected The Yellow River and The Yangzi River. This is the world’s largest canal.

6 Navigation The compass was a huge invention when it came to traveling on boat. Before the compass was invented, people had a slim chance of ending up where they wanted to be. Even today, people still use compasses.
