Counseling services should be aimed at student needs addressing developmental, social and career issues. Determine what issues are critical, give students information about the groups to ensure attendance, and seek input from teachers regarding group scheduling times. Evaluation includes the ongoing collection of data from those receiving services. It also means gathering data on the effectiveness of the counseling program in the school in general.
