Who is FEBA Radio?

In our madly complex, painfully needy world, there are many hopeless people...

…Millions have never heard of Jesus or how His love can change their lives.

Radio can tell them - Radio reaches remote areas - Radio can reach millions at one time - Radio doesn’t discriminate against those with no electricity or who cannot read - Radio can’t be stopped at the border of a country where the Gospel is not welcome

We broadcast to Africa, Asia and the Middle East. FEBA Radio developed out of the Far East Broadcasting Corporation (FEBC). We now broadcast in over 40 countries, in over 60 languages. We reach the unreached:

What do we broadcast? Our programmes include: - Bible teaching - Praise and worship - Testimonies - Answers to listener’s questions - Social issues (violence, drugs..) - AIDS and healthcare issues - Culture, education and farming -Special programmes for youth, women and the blind

Most of our programmes are made by Christians in the countries that receive the broadcasts. They understand the local languages, values and traditions. This makes programmes more effective and relevant.

For many listeners, radio is their only source of Christian teaching and fellowship. For others it is their first introduction to Jesus and the Bible... Photograph courtesy of MAF

they respond “One day I heard Sound of Life on the radio. I was so happy that I swelled with joy. My wife asked me, what are you so excited about? I told her that what I have searched for, for a long time, is Christianity. I took the address and sent a letter. When I received a reply, and read the book What is Christianity? That heavy burden that always was with me disappeared” For security reasons images are not of the listeners who wrote the letters.

From a listener in Ethiopia: I live in a very remote place where there has never been any car or no roads built. It is the most forgotten little country village in a jungle. We have never had anyone who could teach the Word of God. We never thought God would ever remember us; but He did. He sent His Word to us through Just One Moment via the airwave. Nothing can limit God.

Focus on the Yao:

They are a people group spread across Malawi, Tanzania and Mozambique - the majority live in Malawi (roughly 1 million). Only 2% of Yao are Christians at present. FEBA Radio has been broadcasting to this group since 1996. Our 30 minute and 15 minute programmes include: - Youth Programmes - The Yao Culture - Various Bible Programmes - Chronological Bible storytelling Who are the Yao?

And they respond… “…I am very joyful to tell you that since I heard the youth programme the last two days, I have now received Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord of my life. Now I am a new man because of your Yao programmes…I would like if you could send me books to read in order for my life to grow spiritually” For security reasons images are not of the listeners who wrote the letters.
