4. Jesus IS the son of God Acts 4:12- “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

5. The Church IS the people of God Matthew 16:18- “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” Ephesians 3:21- “to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

7. Proverbs 14:12- “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” Matthew 7:13-14- “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

8. Humanism A way of life centered on human interests and values. A pursuit that rejects the supernatural and divine, claiming that man is the highest being and the pursuit of one’s happiness is the highest ideal. Nothing is out of bounds, if no bounds... Rom. 1:28- “Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.”

9. Philosophy Love of wisdom and learning. In comparison to Christianity, the pursuit of understanding life apart from God’s guidance. Salvation through wisdom. Colossians 2:8- “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of the world rather than Christ.”

10. Political Pride Feeling that the hope of the country and maybe the world hangs on “the right party” being in power. (Some things probably do, but...) Zech. 4:6- “Not by might or by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty”

11. Major World Religions Widely recognized and acclaimed organized groups which do not remotely resemble the religion of the Bible.

I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” Psa. 133:1- “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!”
