can pick up iron pieces or any other magnetic materials such as paper clips.

To separate the salt from the sand, you can pour this mixture into the water and stir. The salt dissolves in the water and the sand settles to the bottom. You can finish the separation by using filter paper then an evaporation dish.
You CANNOT separate Koolaid by hand or with science tool.
