Who’s that calling? / Who’s that speaking? / Hello. May I ask who’s calling, please? 3. How to ask the caller to wait. Hold on. I’ll get her/him./A moment, please./Hold the line, please. Hold on, I’ll get a pen and a piece of paper. 4. How to tell the caller the receiver is out. Sorry, he/she is out at the moment./sorry he/she isn’t in. He/she is not available at the moment. 5. How to tell the caller he/she is on the wrong number. I’m afraid you’ve got the wrong number.
