These are the life skills that we will be focusing on for the year: September- Leadership October- Integrity November/December- Cooperation January- Problem Solving February- Caring March- Courage April- Responsibility May/June- Perseverance 9-3-15

2 SEPTEMBER: LEADERSHIP Leadership is the action of guiding or directing a group. As a leader you set a good example, lead others, and you are also a good follower. “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” John Quincy Adams, 6th U.S. President 9-3-15

3 Leadership of the moment. You take charge in a crisis. Leadership by example. You set a good example in your family, with your friends, or anywhere else. This is a wonderful type of leadership, because you become the ruler or yardstick by which other people measure themselves. You’re an inspiration. Community Leadership. You take on a leadership role in a club or organization. Job leadership. You direct others, organizing their work and activities. Trail-blazing leadership. You walk into unexplored territory and create a path for others to follow. 9-3-15
