The twelfth battle was on Mount Badon in which there fell in one day 960 men from one charge by Arthur; and on one struck them down except Arthur himself, and in all the wars he emerged as victor."

2. Geoffrey of Monmouth, ca. 1100- 1155 -Geoffrey was the first to create a full blown mythology about King Arthur -Historia Regnum Britanniae - written and circulated around 1138

3. William of Malmesbury -Gesta Regum Angelorum Arthur political savior and just king based on Nennius’ account. -Is also critical of treatments of Arthur that turn him into a mythical hero.
