5 Project: Timed Log-in System Client: Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation / Haverstock Hill Apartment Complex Goal: Provide the staff at Haverstock Hill the means of tracking the log-in activity of their tenants Budget – None. 6 The goal of the DeVry Consulting Team is to provide Rainbow Housing Authority Corporation management company for Haverstock Hill Apartment Complex with the ability to track the computer usage of their tenants. Tracking would allow them to monitor how long tenants are using the system, what sites are being utilized and when/if restricted sites are being accessed. Scope Statement

8 Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation was founded in 2002. A national non-profit organization formed to create and preserve affordable multi-family housing for low-income families throughout the United States. Rainbow Housing work along with their affiliated companies to provide programs and support services that will increase opportunities for economic and social advancement. Rainbow Housing Mission Statement: To create and preserve quality affordable housing for families and individuals of diverse ethnic, social and economic backgrounds, while supporting their well-being through the delivery of social service programs. 9 Goals: To physically rehabilitate apartment developments and preserve safe, affordable housing units, while building thriving communities, To provide on site service staff and/or collaborate with community based agencies to create programs that meet the needs of our diverse residents. Haverstock Hills is one of the many multi-family units that Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation manages located at 5919 Aldine Bender, Houston, TX 77032. Background (continued)

10 Haverstock Hills was contacted by DeVry with an opportunity for one of the Senior Computer classes to perform a civic service if needed. Haverstock Hills wanting a Log-in tracking system for their computer lab accepted DeVry’s offer Professor Thomas Des Lauriers assigned three seniors from his computer class this job as their senior project.
