4 Bhuddist: Not enough sufficient information Italian: Italians eat a breakfast, lunch, mid afternoon snack (Merenda), and dinner. Lunch is viewed as the most important meal of the day and therefore is a large meal. Merenda is consumed after school or in mid afternoon and consists of various light snacks. Dinner in Italian cuisine is a light meal and not much food is consumed. Pakistani: Pakistanis generally eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A typical breakfast consists of eggs, bread, fruit, tea, and meat (which makes this cuisine unique). Meat curry along with rice is usually consumed for lunch. Dinner is considered to be the main meal of the day and for food that is savoury and takes longer preparation si eaten at this time.

5 Buddhists: Follow the Theravada way of feeding themselves and therefore must eat leftovers. Mahayana Buddhists believe consuming any type of meat is “killing the seed of great compassion”. Italians: The main aspect of Italian cuisine is conviviality and joy. Socializing while eating with either friends or family is a huge part of Italian cuisine. The renaissance brought on Italians love for pasta. Pakistan's: Establishment of Moghul Empire in 1526 influenced the development of Pakistani cookery and ‘Moghlai style’. Muslims follow Islamic law that lists foods that are Halal or permissible to consume. Periods of fasting are required of monks.

6 Buddhist: Fasting and not eating solid food after noon is done as a means of purification, to free the mind, and to aid yogic feats. The belief that the obscuration for fish is aggression, red meat is ignorance, and fowl is desire, causes Tibetans to avoid these meats. Some Buddhists believe that the ‘Five Pungent Spices” increase ones sexual desire and anger, and are therefore avoided. Italian: Food is used as a way to maintain ties among family and friends, and having strong relationships is very important in Italian culture. Pakistani: Muslims are required to sacrifice a sheep, goat, camel, or cow on Eid-ul-Azha (takes place in last month of Muslim calendar), which symbolizes Abraham’s submission to god.
