3 Present simple (I do) We use the present simple to talk about things in general. We are not thinking only about the present. We use it to say something happens all the time or repeatedly, or that something is true in general. It is not important whether the action is happening at the time of speaking: –The earth goes round the sun. –Nurses look after patients in hospital. Do you…? (present simple questions) Do you…? (present simple questions) We use do/does in the present simple questions: positive question I work He works I He work? We play She does Do We Does She play? You do It likes You It like?
