11 Local Government Academy Mutual Benefits of a Partnership – Organize a stakeholder group with same stakeholders: business, gov’t, academic, civic – More local programs for NWPA developed with LGA support and supervision – LGA is 501(c)3- for donations tax deductible – LGA establishes contractual relationships program coordinator to do program development and deployment, promotion in the northwestern PA region – Expected 80% of all revenue remains in region for programs; participants from all western PA served by programs generated locally but promoted regionally
