2 BEFORE HE WAS FAMOUS Born on July 21, 1951 Grew up in Chicago, Illinois Attended Claremont College and College for Marin He was a stand-up comedian in San Francisco and Los Angeles In many TV shown (in the late 70s and 80s) First big role was when he was Popeye, in the movie Popeye in 1980 He had a drug addition Involved in many relationships Married a girl named Valerie in 1988 then got divorced and married his son’s nanny.

3 HOW HE BECAME FAMOUS/ WHEN HE WAS FAMOUS (PART ONE) Well known for his comedy in many shows Got his own show in 1978 named Mork & Mindy Received his 3 rd Oscar in 1991 Stared as a grown-up Peter Pan in the movie Hook Provided the voice of Genie in Disney's original movie Aladdin He won an Academy Award for playing a psychiatrist Stared as a doctor in the movie Patch Adams in 1998

4 HOW HE BECAME FAMOUS/ WHEN HE WAS FAMOUS (PART TWO) Played as a creepy movie developer in the movie Hour Photo which came out in 2002. In the summer of 2006, Williams suffered a drug relapse and admitted himself to a rehabilitation In September 2008 he started touring for his one man stand-up comedy show, Weapons of Self Destruction, focusing on social and political absurdities. That same year, he got divorced again. While he was touring in March of 2009 he had health problems that would always slow him down. began experiencing shortness of breaths. He ended up canceling performances and undergoing heart surgery.

5 HOW HE BECAME FAMOUS/ WHEN HE WAS FAMOUS (PART THREE) He played Teddy Roosevelt in Night of the Museum and he also played in the Disney film Old Dogs. In March 2011 he appeared on Broadway in the same year, he lent his voice to the sequel of Happy Feet Two. He continued to play in movies and TV shows throughout the years up until this year.

6 HIS DEATH On August 11, 2014 he was found dead. He committed suicide. He was only 63 years old. That day many people’s hearts were broken. It was a sad time in everyone’s life. Although he may not be with us anymore, his legend still lives on.
