2. Biography He was born in Roseburg, Oregon on February 26 th. He has a high school diploma and is currently taking college classes. His work has appeared in the newspaper and has been shown at the public high school. He is known for his portrait photography and the drama he creates in the photos he takes. He was inspired by just being different, he loves being able to capture things that you don’t see everyday. The only unusual fact about the photographer that I have personally come across is the fact that he is transgender and loves taking pictures of both genders, he embraces them in a special way like I’ve personally never seen before.

3. Title: Classy Taken: Personal Studio Year: 2010 The lighting used in this photo was artificial. It is coming from everywhere in the room to make the white out effect. The main subject is the Woman laying there. The composition works to make this photo so striking by whiting it out and creating drama in the colors and class by the dress attire. The photographer is trying to communicate sophisticated class and effects. I selected this photo because of how the photographer used white to blur everything out to create selective focus and the essence of drama.

4. Title: Legs Taken: Cottage Grove Rail Road Tracks on a Train Year: 2011 The lighting was artificial because of big lights set up outside to make the drama at night. The light was coming from behind the photographer and directly onto the subject. The main subject of this photograph is obviously the legs because they are so prominent and it is also kind of the drama in this photograph. The composition works to make this photo so striking by the rule of thirds and how the subject takes up the whole photo, also leading lines because they are going up at an angle and pointing to the middle. The photographer was trying to communicate drama and mysterious. There is no story behind this photograph besides the fact that it is just how he likes his photos to be, mysterious and drama filled. I selected this photo because it gives drama and it is so striking.

5. Title: Wanna Be Taken: Alley Way in Cottage Grove Year: 2012 The lighting used in this photograph is natural. It is coming from an angle kind of behind the man in the photograph. The main subject of this photo is the man sitting on the ledge. You can tell this by the fact that he is a main part of the photograph and because he is looking right at the camera. The composition works in the photo to make it so striking because of leading lines of the ledge to lead your eyes to the subject. And the rule of thirds because he is over to the left side of the photo. The photographer is trying to communicate the feelings that the subject has at that exact moment. The story behind this photo is just pretty much a boring morning when we all decided to dress up like wanna be’s and have Toya take photos. I selected this photograph because I love the story behind this photo it reminds me of good memories.

6. Title: love Taken: Woman’s Home Year: 2012 The lighting in this photograph was both inside lighting and outside lighting. It is coming from the ceiling and through the windows. The main subject of the photograph is the pregnant belly. You can tell this because it is in the middle of the photograph. The composition works to make this photo so striking by selective focus and it being black and white and the way that there is a type of outline to it through the editing. This photographer tries to communicate love and affection in this photo. I selected this photograph to show that he not only does good portrait photos but that he does good photos all around.

7. Title: Baby Taken: McKenzie River Year: 2012 The lighting that is present in this photograph is natural. It is coming from behind the photographer and it is perfect for this particular photo. The main subject of this photo is the little girl and you can tell this because of the present portrait photo type. The composition works to make this photo so striking by the background blur of the water and the selective focus of the little girl taking up most of the photograph but also the rule of thirds is present because her head is tilted and not exactly on the grid lines. The photographer was trying to communicate innocence and beauty of this little girl. I selected this photograph because this little girl is amazing and she was meant for the camera!

8. Title: Fire Taken: Cottage Grove Coiner Park Year: 2011 The lighting in this picture comes from the fire coming from the man’s mouth. It also could be coming from the camera flash but I don’t think so. The main subject of the photograph is the fire and the person breathing it. You can tell this by the fact that it takes up the entire photo. The composition works to make this photo so striking by the way that the angle is, how the rule of thirds is applied with the person but not really with the fire and the colors involved in the photograph. The photographer was trying to communicate drama and fierceness. The story behind this photograph is a fire show at the park by a bunch of friends. I selected this photograph because I love the drama created and the way that he took the angles that he did.
