6. Lighting: both artificial and natural and it is coming down through the top left corner and through the windows in the background. Main Subject: The girl at the counter talking to the grumpy man. I know that because the light is mostly on her or the girl in the background looking at the girl with the type writer because she is really in the middle of the picture. Communicate: People can be unfair/sexist. I chose this photograph because I think the lighting is really pretty and I think that the picture sort of tells a story.

8. Lighting: Natural because although there is not a lot of light, there is some light coming through the window in the background. Main Subject: The girl looking at the camera because the light is going onto her face to draw our eyes to her face. I selected this picture because I think it really tells the story about the little African girl learning about the camera and how to really capture the beauty. She seems so interested in it.

Lighting: Artificial, The little girl is looking up into the light and the light is reflecting off her eyes which draws us to her face Main Subject: The little girl’s eyes are the main subject because the light draws us to her eyes and most of the light is on the top of her face. I chose this picture because I think it captures how innocent our children are and that not all people being photographed have to complete the “American Dream”

12. Lighting: Artificial, you can see the artificial lights reflected on the car and in the man’s eyes. Main Subject: The man getting into the car because the lighting draws us to his face and he is mostly in the center of the picture. I chose this picture because of how mysterious it is. It brings up the questions “where is he going?” “is someone chasing him?”
