1 What Are You Talking About ? By Lemanski Walker

2 Sentence Fragments  Sentence fragments are “pieces” of sentences.  A complete sentence has a subject and a predicate.

3 Complete Sentences  Express complete thoughts  Begin with capital letters  End with correct punctuation

4 Paragraphs  A good paragraph should have at least five complete sentences.  You should always indent at the beginning of a paragraph.  The first sentence of a paragraph should be the introduction.  The last sentence of a paragraph should be the conclusion.

5 Parts of a Letter  Heading  Salutation  Body  Closing  Signature

6 Verbal Communication  Look at your audience.  Speak loudly, but do not scream.  Pronounce all words clearly.  Try not to talk too fast.  Try not to talk too slow.  RELAX

7 Check Written Work  Proofread all of your work (formal and informal).  Follow the basic rules of grammar.  Make necessary corrections.  Allow someone else to check your work (when necessary).

8 Good Communication  Write correct sentences.  Write correct paragraphs.  Use correct format when writing letters.  Speak correctly.
