1 Urban Village & Spatial Exclusion in the Manly area

2 Why I selected Manly My family has lived in Manly all our lives. It has good examples or urban village and spatial exclusion. I wanted to find out more about the area in which I live in terms of development.

3 It was to investigate the extent to which Manly has characteristics of spatial exclusion and of an urban village, and whether there two urban dynamics have increased in recent years.

6 From this graph you can see that the income is well above average Australian income of 50,000.

7 Do you think there is a strong sense of community within Manly, Very high being 1, up to very low being 5? This graph shows the sense of community present within Manly. It indicates there still is a good sense of community and therefore through this we able to find presence of urban village. 1 being high & 5 being low

11 The fact I use a lot of photos & graphs. I could of surveyed a larger amount of people to get a more reliable and accurate result. I could tried to find some archival photos of where college green is now built.

12 I would try and find a lot more examples of urban village and spatial exclusion. Than just basing my project on one. Be a bit more creative with the layout of my SGP.
