2 Women for Science Venezuela Women for Science, Chapter Venezuela, is a program of the Venezuelan Academy of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences constituted in the form of a network, which brings together women actively working in different areas of science in Venezuela, some of which are Members of the Academy Objective Its central objective is to highlight the contribution of Venezuelan women to the development of science in the country.

6 Objective Highlight the pioneering work of some Venezuelan women who contributed to research in the fields of Agriculture, Veterinary, Health Sciences (Medicine, Odontology and Pharmacy), Earth Science (Mining, Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry and Geography), Biology, Computer, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Engineering Activities 3. Book pioneering women in science, Venezuela

7 Objectives Recognize and value the role of Venezuelan young researchers (< 45 years) who have begun their scientific careers inside or outside our country. The information published in the book, will be aimed at students of secondary school and university education in the country, who are interested in starting a career in science. 4. 8 Objective Make videos about scientific women of different ages, including girls in the Educational Programme “Science Education Based in Inquiry” (ECBI), “Science in the School”. The aim is to encouraging young women to study scientific careers, knowing through these videos the experiences of girls from the first levels of study (Science in School Program) to already established researchers. 5.
