3 Confidentiality Maintain confidentially of all information reviewed at LPAC meeting. Members sign an Oath of confidentiality at the campus prior to LPAC Meeting. 3

4 Purpose of Meeting Placement Must occur before the 20 th day of school. September 23 th 2013 Convene every grading period to monitor Y1M and Y2M, review accommodations for each student, and place new students. Meet in Spring Semester prior to State testing. STAAR, STAAR L, TELPAS End of Year LPAC to determine placement for the following year. 4

7 Qualify for Program Services Pre K – 1 st grade OLPT score of NES, LES 2 nd – 12 th grade OLPT score of NES, LES, FES Less than 40% on ITBS in Reading/Language 7

9 Services offered to LEP students Bilingual Bilingual for Pre K – 5 th ESL PK – 12 th Monitors Monitor progress for 2 years after exit Parent Denials- no services provided but students still considered LEP and will be monitored and will take TELPAS Monitor progress for 2 years after re-classification 9
