5 MOY Minutes Continued…  STAAR Participation and Linguistic Accommodation Decisions form must be placed in student’s blue folder in the cum  LPAC Minutes of STAAR Decisions for Spring 2012 Test Administration form form must be uploaded to school paper  LPAC Minutes of TAKS Decisions for Spring 2012 Test Administration form must be uploaded to school paper  Remember to communicate all assessment decisions to your CTC

6 Linguistic Accommodations Linguistic accommodations provided during state assessments should be based on the students need for second language acquisitions support and whether the student uses the accommodation routinely in classroom instruction and testing. Providing unfamiliar linguistic accommodations may hinder rather than help the student. (TEA Linguistic Accommodations for ELL’s Participating in STAAR Program Guide, pg. 3)

7 Verification of Accommodations  Documentation may include but is not limited to:  OSP  Written teacher documentation  Lesson Plans  Etc..

8 Uploading Minutes into School Paper  Upload LPAC STAAR Decision Minutes and LPAC TAKS Decision Minutes to include an agenda and Record of LPAC  Ensure minutes for each monthly LPAC are uploaded  Directions for uploading into School Paper can be located in StaffNet in the LPAC Training tab under BOY  Please contact us should you experience issues or have questions about School Paper

9 TIA’s  Work with ELL students  DO NOT perform office duties  DO NOT sub or cover classes  DO NOT perform LPAC or TELPAS duties

10 Pre- K and Kinder Registration Process  When: April 2 nd – April 5 th  Process for Pre-K:  TIA’s will administer the OLPT (SELP)  Parents only fill out Home Language Survey at this time PLEASE DO NOT LPAC THESE STUDENTS AT THIS TIME Kinder will not be tested during registration

11 ESL Academies  When: April 2 nd – 4 th  Time: Students 8:30am to 2:30pm Teachers 8:15am to 2:45pm
