2 Motivation 2 Period : 2010/10/17 ~ 2011/10/17 ml ≧ 2 , Total : 9908 From CWB

3 3 YARDBIRD 1.LOG: 24 bit/4ch 、 sample rate: 100Hz 、 GPS time compensation 、 user interface. 2.Deployment period is 1 year, power dissipation must be less than 0.5W. 3.Currently maximum depth is 2000m 4.Leveling: Error is less than 1 ∘. Bandwidth: 4sec~40Hz. 5.Yardbird hangs flash beacon 、 radio beacon and flag for recovery. 6.Center of gravity and buoyancy for downward pose 、 rising and downward velocity. 7.Acoustic system for release and location Seismometer Buoy Acoustic system Camera Beacon Battery & Log Specifications

4 4 Seismometer 1. 3 perpendicular components 2. Leveling: Error is less than 1 ∘. 3.Bandwidth:4sec~40Hz.

13 13 Future Works We completed 3 times long term(10 mouths) deployment and 4 times short term (2 weeks ~ 3 months) deployments successfully, and we will still continue research and development further, such as maximum depth will be extended to 6000m 、 channel numbers increase from 4 to 7 for more sensors 、 bandwidth extends from 4 s to 30 s. In order to fulfill the ultimate objective of building an engineering-, science-, and management-wise sustainable system in Taiwan, Our team will continue to work with more domestic universities and search international cooperation.
