2. Anne Frank was born to Edith + Otto Frank.

3. Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany.

4. The first concentration camp is opened. (The Sturmabteilungen)

5. The Franks move to Holland to escape growing persecution in Germany.

6. Hitler invades Poland.

8. 10 th May 1940 Hitler invaded the Netherlands, Belgium and France.

9. 5 th July 1942 Margot receives a call up notice from the Nazis to return to Germany to work in a labour camp.

10. Anne Frank and her family go into hiding in the Secret Annex.

11. The Van Pels family go into hiding. Anne names them the Van Daan family in her diary to protect their identity.

12. Dentist Fritz Pfeffer goes into hiding. Anne names him Albert Dussel to protect his identity.

13. The Secret Annex is raided by security police following an anonymous tip off. All occupants and two helpers are arrested and taken to Westerbork camp.

14. The annex occupants are taken to Austwitz concentration camp on the last train to ever leave Westerbork.

15. Anne and Margot are taken to Bergen Belsen Concentration Camp.

16. Anna and Margot die of typhus only a few days apart.

17. Bergen Belsen was liberated by British troops.

18. Hitler committed suicide as Soviet troops close in on his bunker in Berlin.

19. Germany surrenders WW2.

20. Anne’s diary is first published in Dutch its now translated into 50 different languages.
