2. A river Is a natural flowing towards and ocean,sea,lake or another river. The water in rivers comes from many different sources. Rivers can begin in lakes or as springs that bubble up from underground. Other rivers start as rain or melting snow and ice high up in the mountains.

3. The man made river is a massive engineering project consisting of a network of pipes that supplies water from the Sahara Desert in Libya, from the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer System fossil aquifer. It is the world's largest irrigation project.

4. Efforts to find oil in southern Libya led to the discovery of large quantities of fresh water underground. The fossil aquifer from which this water is being supplied is the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer System. It accumulated during the last ice age and is not currently being replenished.

5. This massive Project is very important because of the drough suffered by libya. Libya is one of the sunniest and driest countries in the world. There are places where decades may pass without seeing any rainfall at all, and even in the highlands rainfall seldom happens

6. Much of Libya's water supply used to come from desalination plants on the coast, which were expensive and therefore used only for domestic purposes. groundwater extraction system is ten times cheaper than desalination.

7. Materials to make our project we used : Paper tubes,craft paper, blue paint,and an aluminum container. First we made craft paper balls to make the soil, then we connected the tubes and cut them, then we painted them and measure them to make them fit in the model
