20 Web Archiving Service Fees CDL will begin charging for Web Archiving Service activity beginning July 1, 2009 Not a flat rate – charges are based on actual usage Basic cost is $1,500 per terabyte Does not include replicated content

21 For UC Campuses 1st Terabyte of storage is free 1 st year of activity at 50% of cost 2 nd year of activity at 75% of cost 3 rd year at $1500 / TB (– 1 TB)

22 Example: UC Campus Library Go into July 1 2009 with 622 GB in WAS –Collect another 675 GB in fiscal year 2009/2010 –June 30 2010: 1.26 TB –Charged for.26 TB at 50%: $195.00 Collect 930 GB in 2010-2011 –1.16 TB chargeable storage (2.16 of data) –at 75% = $1305.00
