What kind of school or business presentations have you enjoyed listening to (think about what made them interesting and compelling)? What kinds of presenter behavior make you feel bored in a presentation?

You and your partner will receive one characteristic. Try to write a clear, specific definition. What does it mean? How can we be sure to do it well? Give some examples… Write a definition of your characteristic… Give specific examples Focused, clearly-developed topic Clear speech—pronunciation, pacing, volume Understanding your audience Speaking not reading! Good preparation Avoid annoying habits Physical factors (body) Good visuals Effective introduction/conclusion Effectively fielding questions
