E-2 passenger was airlifted to a medical facility. 05 Oct 2014: (Riverside, CA) E-3 died in a motorcycle mishap.  USMC OFF-DUTY/RECREATIONAL FATALITIES 22 Aug 2015: (Camp Pendleton, CA) E-2 died after he fell from the third floor of the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters. 09 Aug 2015: (TUMON BEACH, GUAM) E-2 went missing while swimming with friends. Declared dead on 14 Aug after extensive search. 01 Aug 2015: (Yuma, AZ) Two E-6s died as a result of a recreational off-road mishap. One died at scene and another passed away 24 Aug.

33 UCI = Upper Confidence Interval LCI = Lower Confidence Interval Rate values above the UCI or below the LCI infer a statistically significant change is probable. This is only an indicator. Significance cannot be determined until end- of-year. Values between the UCI and LCI infer that nothing significant has occurred to increase or decrease mishap rate. (Confidence Interval is based on: Poisson Rate related to a Chi Squared Distribution and calculated using FY09- 13 data except for the Lost Work Days and Lost Time Case slides which were based on a normal distribution).
