KSD Math scores were higher than the national averages across nearly all grade levels. Good teamwork by KSD Staff and collaboration between district and building staff, and Information Technology, Academics and Innovation and Assessment Office staff. We have reduced the total number of district assessments ~ we no longer administer the Orleans-Hanna test or grade 7 math placement, and the DRP, a reading level test that was administered in grades 6 and 8 for placement.

We have also found high correlations between the second window of i-Ready and performance on the Smarter Balanced Assessments. A student’s scale score on i-Ready reading and math is a good predictor of their scale score on the Smarter Balanced ELA and Math summative assessments.
