Board of Education Meeting September 21, 2015

Deirdre “Dee” Blake – Secretary I

The office on the first day back to school can be calm or chaos! New families and students Last minute registrations Nervous parents and students!

Deirdre “Dee” Blake – Secretary I Dee Blake made a difference on the FIRST day of school, as observed by Mrs. Eschenburg:

Deirdre “Dee” Blake – Secretary I “Every time I visit Woodrow Wilson I am impressed with the quality of customer service Ms. Blake provides to students, parents and staff. She welcomes everyone with a smile and does whatever she can to meet their needs. I witnessed this first hand on the first day of school…

Deirdre “Dee” Blake – Secretary I Even though the office was extremely busy, Ms. Blake still took the time to have a personal conversation with students and parents, asking about their summer and welcoming them back. She made sure all children were happily in class that day, even if they just walked in to enroll that morning…..

Deirdre “Dee” Blake – Secretary I We are fortunate to have building secretaries as dedicated and caring as Ms. Blake.” - Tracie Eschenburg Executive Director of Employee and Student Services

Deirdre “Dee” Blake – Secretary I Scott Fairman, Principal, shared this: Dee goes above and beyond to ensure that her job responsibilities are completed to perfection. She is a great resource to all secretaries in Port Huron Schools. She assists them in the completion of their job responsibilities. Dee is truly an asset to Woodrow Wilson Elementary.

Deirdre “Dee” Blake – Secretary I In the fall of this year a parent came in who had a 5th grade student here in 2014-2015. Dee had a special relationship with this student. On the last day of school, the student was to go see Dee but forgot to. Dee had purchased a gift for the student. Dee saved the gift and when she saw the parent in the fall she gave the gift to the parent to give to the now 6th grader. - Staff at Woodrow Wilson

Deirdre “Dee” Blake – Secretary I Thank you, Ms. Blake for all of your hard work, compassion for our students and their families. You are making a tremendous impact on the Woodrow Wilson Elementary and Port Huron Schools community.
