1 Mid-Year Formative Updates of the District CSIP and 5 SIPs Presented by Dr. Timothy M. McInnis, and the Administrative Team of Building Level Principals and Assistant Principal on February 18, 2014

2 2013-2018 Comprehensive School Improvement Plan ▪ 1 st year of the five year plan ▪ Goals remain unchanged to maintain consistency and achieve where we left off 1.Student Achievement 2.Highly Qualified Staff 3.Facilities, Instructional Resources, and Support Services 4.Parent & Community Involvement 5.Governance ▪ Action plans are systemic, new, and progressing positively!

3 Goal #1: Student Achievement UPDATES: ▪ Curriculum development under the leadership of the Assistant Superintendent has resulted in the recommendation and Board adoption of the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) to commence in August of 2014 ▪ Curriculum development has resulted in the recommendation and Board adoption of Project Lead the Way Biomedical Sciences Program to commence in August 2014 ▪ Curriculum development has resulted in several “completer status” opportunities for our students along with local career and college readiness improvements ▪ Under the leadership efforts of the Director of Technology and Assistant Superintendent, the district technology implementation pilot is well under way with anticipated full 1:1 by the 2015-16 school year grades 6-12 along with 1:1 opportunities for the upper elementary

4 Goal #1: Student Achievement Continued: ▪ Successful participation in the Tri-County efforts related to the first ever Tri-County Professional Development Day on October 28, 2014 with Warren, St. Charles, and Lincoln Counties ▪ The district has purchased the PULSE data aggregator system to provide administrators with additional tools to development reports for further make data-driven decisions ▪ The district continues to maximize its use of online course with the former CSD, now EducationPlus serving as the platform for online opportunities with vendors such as Edgenuity, etc.

5 Goal #2 Recruit, attract, develop and retain highly qualified staff to carry out the LEA/District mission, goals and objectives UPDATES ▪ Morgan & Associate training received by all administrators for the purpose of predicting quantitatively teacher performance ▪ The district purchased Perform/TalentEd to facilitate electronic employee performance reviews ▪ The district purchased AppliTrack as its primary portal for certified and classified electronic job postings and application ▪ A comprehensive hiring guide was developed to outline the hiring process (similar to what was on HR drive) and to add to the recently developed processes on the HR web page

6 Goal #3 Facilities, Instructional Resources, and Support Service UPDATES: ▪ The district continues with a strong Support Staff Professional Development Committee (SSPDC); commenced August 2008 and continues today ▪ Extensive efforts in partnership with the BOE, community, architects and all stakeholders to respond to district growth, especially at the elementary level with the decision to run a no tax increase bond levy for the purposes of local improvements as well as the building of brick and mortar facilities for early childhood education as appropriate

7 Goal #4 Parent & Community Involvement UPDATES: ▪ Social media sky-rocketed with Facebook and Twitter feeds ▪ Survey-Monkey utilized to gather input along with extensive committee participation in developing this new five year school improvement plan ▪ The high school’s Project Lead the Way partnership team continues to provide assistance in the delivery of the engineering curriculum through classroom visits, teaching, modeling, etc. ▪ The community reached out in its effort to commence an agriculture curriculum resulting in CASE this August 2014

8 Goal #5: Governance UPDATES: ▪ Administrators currently enrolled in Character Education LACE program to increase leadership capacity within our Character Education Framework ▪ The 7 th year of the Leadership Responsibility Team (LRT) provides ongoing professional development to our administrative staff ▪ Both Dr. Jones and Dr. McInnis serve as “Foundation Committee” members for the school-business partnership organization known as ABLE ▪ Members of the OFSD Board of Education continue to participate in MSBA functions and trainings as appropriate and possible
