5  The wholesale price is $84 and the markup rate is 12.5%. What is the retail price? percent 100 Amount of change Original amount = 12.5 100 x - $84 $84 = $1050= 100(x - 84) $1050= 100x – 8400 $9450 = 100x x = $94.50

6  The wholesale price is $84 and the markup rate is 12.5%. What is the retail price? $84 *.125 = $10.50 $84.00 + 10.50 = $94.50

7  Find the sale price when the original price is $84 and the discount rate is 12.5%. $84 *.125 = $10.50 $84.00 – 10.50 = $73.50
