If an item is 30% off--- Jack bought a jacket for \$45. This was 30% off the original price. What was the original price? Answer 70% of what is 45?

Increase or Decrease The furniture store marked the table up 75%. It sells for \$450. What was the wholesale price? 100% + 75% = 175% Answer 450 is 175 % of what?

Thing to think about Is the original asked for? Is the new more or less than the original? Should the % be more or less than 100?
